Back Up Your Photos
Backing up your photos is the best way
to guarantee you’ll never lose them. And with a Wi-Fi–enabled camera, backing them up is a snap. Simply turn on the Auto Backup feature on any Smart Camera and your shots will be wirelessly transferred to your PC.
If your computer has Wake on LAN functionality, it will receive the photos even if it’s turned off. When the transfer’s complete, your camera can even tell the computer to shut itself back down. Not connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot? You can still send pictures: Smart Cameras support Wi-Fi Direct and can connect directly to other Wi-Fi Direct–compatible devices that are within range. If your computer is not equipped with Wake-on-LAN, simply turn on your PC when you get home and the backup will proceed automatically.
Upload to Facebook
and Other Social Sites
Adding images to your social networking feeds doesn’t have to be a convoluted, multistep process. With Smart Cameras, you can take photos and videos directly to social sites, including Facebook, Picasa, YouTube and more, whenever a Wi-Fi connection is available. You can even add tags and descriptions to your shots directly from the camera. Watch this video about posting to social networks.
Use Your Smartphone
to Control Your Camera
Taking a picture of yourself alone or in a group can be really difficult. Line up the shot, set the timer and hustle back to where you need to be. But with Samsung’s Remote Viewfinder feature, all of that hassle goes away letting you control the camera with your smartphone from as far away as 23 feet.
Email Directly from
Your Camera
Sometimes the old-fashioned way works best when it comes to distributing new photos to friends and family. Your Smart Camera can email brilliant photos directly from the camera. Simply click on the Wi-Fi icon and type in your recipients’ email addresses—along with a few words of description—and they’re whisked away. The camera even remembers your previously used addresses so you never have to retype them when you’re sending shots to the usual suspects.
Back Up to the Cloud
and Free Up Space
Cloud-based backup means you’ll never be at risk of losing your shots, even if your camera is lost or stolen. If you’re in Wi-Fi range, your Smart Camera can copy images to a Microsoft Skydrive account, a feature that also lets you delete shots from your camera’s memory card to free up room for more pictures. Don’t remember what you shot? You can view pictures stored on the cloud services directly on your phone or tablet, or download a copy to your PC. Watch this video about uploading to the cloud.
Use Your TV for a
Wireless Slide Show
Showing off your photos in the living room used to mean digging up the right cable to connect your camera to the television. Smart Cameras let you cut the cord and stream photos and videos directly to your TV or computer wirelessly with Samsung TV Link. In fact, you can use any DLNA Certified® device to connect to your camera and create an instant slide show.
